Best NFC East uniforms
Dallas Cowboys: Away Navies
Dallas typically doesn’t offer much uniform disparity and 2019 was no different. There was no shot I was picking a uniform where their colors don’t even match their own brand, so it came down to having big stars on the shoulders or their normal away look.
At least the gray pants match the helmets here, which makes the white numbers a bit more attention-grabbing. I like the double outline along the numbers; they give the uniform a little more of an old-school look.
Philadelphia Eagles: All-Blacks
I may not be a fan of the gothic-style font, but there isn’t much room for choices here, either. The all-black uniforms the Eagles usually wear at home add a new layer to the team’s overall look. It allows for the “midnight green” to act as a lighter, secondary color, which nearly glows amidst all that darkness. The black also takes some heat off the colored collar by making it seem less awkward atop the jersey.
New York Giants: White Color Rush
I officially cast my vote to make these the Giants’ official uniforms. The team’s current white uniforms are a big no for me. I’ll save my specific discrepancies for another edition of this series and instead point out the beauties in this all-white uniform.
The white facemasks and logo really pop out in this look, which makes it even better that New York uses its throwback logo here. There’s a perfect amount of red, so it doesn’t force a sensory overload on the uniforms. Oh, and that collar is elite.
Washington Redskins: Home Burgundy
I’m not one of those people who only loves crazy, unique uniforms (a la Oregon), but I’m sure a little more variety couldn’t hurt the NFC East. The Redskins are another example of a team with not much to choose from. I prefer the home look to the away look because the burgundy seems too dark to offer one fluid look.
The burgundy ascends down the uniform, whereas that ascension is disrupted with white jerseys and burgundy pants. Honestly, this is more of me nitpicking than anything because there’s little difference in my eyes between the two uniforms.
