NFL Uniforms: Best combination each team wore in 2019

Best NFC West uniforms
San Francisco 49ers: Color Rush/Throwbacks
They add flavor, the normal uniforms aren’t as cool, you know the drill by the now. I give these credit for taking 49ers fans back to the glory days with the black block lettering. Although, throwbacks or paying homage to the “glory days” don’t automatically make a uniform better. It’s just that San Fransisco’s look isn’t that special. And this uniform has some special things about it.
Arizona Cardinals: Black Jerseys
These are not the all-black Color Rush uniforms, though those received heavy consideration. I chose this uniform combo — black jersey, white pants — over the Color Rush look because the white helmets just seem misplaced atop the all-black look.
Also, as much as I love the red numbers, the white numbers work better with the helmet. There’s normally a lot going on in Arizona’s uniforms, and the black jerseys kind of distract from the strange designs.
Los Angeles Rams: Home/Throwbacks
The best uniform decision the franchise has made in decades was in 2018 when they made this uniform their permanent home look. This was the best uniform in the NFL. The seamless mixture of blue and gold, the unique shoulder design, the golden horns on the helmet.
They all thrust this uniform into must-see TV. Even the subtle white coloration of the last names has an impact, as it prevents the uniform from being a simpler, two-color look. It’s a shame it wasn’t carried over during their rebrand. (I’ll save that rant for later in the series. For part one of this 5-part series, check out yesterday’s edition to see what NFL uniform designs have best led to Super Bowl success.)
Seattle Seahawks: Home Navies
The Seahawks have one of the best uniform sets in football, plain and simple. Ironically, their uniforms are anything but plain and simple. And I love them. Their home set may be the best-looking.
The “action green” and “wolf grey” are intricately placed throughout the uniform so that it isn’t too muddled with colors, yet it still creates a distinct brand. I was close to picking a set with the neon jerseys, but sometimes they can be a bit too much to watch.
