AFC South uniform changes

Indianapolis Colts: Change Gray Facemask

I may not be a fan of the Colts’ uniforms, but they’re rightfully representative of the team’s storied past. Besides, the team announced some solid tweaks last month. Still, the biggest change Indianapolis could make is one of my biggest pet peeves: the facemask color.

I won’t repeat the explanation I gave for the Bills earlier, but I will say that changing the facemask to white or back to blue would fit the overall look better.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Add Number Outlines

When Jacksonville redid their uniforms (again) in 2018, they went from uniforms with too much to uniforms with too little. Seriously, this new look is a terrible overcompensation for their previous one. It’s like one of those coloring pages that restaurants give kids and the Jaguars only had one crayon.

Adding some outlines on the numbers that match the secondary color of the uniform would be a good start to injecting some flavor to these threads. A teal outline on the black numbers might make the white away uniforms look less like a generic uniform starter kit.

Houston Texans: Change Collar Color

Houston hasn’t made many tweaks to their look since the franchise first took the field in 2002. And I don’t think they should start now. However, the different-colored collar looks a little misplaced atop the jerseys.

Maybe that’s why their Color Rush uniform — with a navy collar and navy jersey — is the team’s best look. Matching the collar’s color to the jersey would ensure a tad more consistency throughout the uniform.

Tennessee Titans: Replace the Two-Tone Shoulder Design

Count me as a fan of the Titans’ new look that they unveiled in 2018. The two-tone shoulder design seems a bit weird, though. I get that it’s supposed to resemble the “T” in the Titans logo, but it just makes the uniform a little too complicated. I would suggest choosing one shade of silver instead, preferably the lighter shade to match the facemask.
