With Tom Brady featured in a 2021 ESPN documentary, what do we want to know?

In 2021, there will be another highly-anticipated documentary that will air on national television surrounding the New England Patriots and legendary quarterback Tom Brady. A few days after the widely praised documentary series on NBA legend Michael Jordan called The Last Dance aired on ESPN, the network announced it is working on another documentary surrounding another legendary sports figure and a storied NFL franchise.

On Thursday, Tom Brady and ESPN announced a nine-part documentary “Man in the Arena” about the former New England quarterback is in the works and will hit airwaves during the 2021 calendar year.

The documentary will reportedly cover Brady’s rise from a late-round draft pick out of Michigan to arguably the best NFL career in the history of the league.

According to Deadline, the documentary will feature some of the most iconic and important moments of Brady’s career with the Patriots prior to the start of the 2020 NFL season, when he takes the field for a new team in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the first time in his career.

Deadline added the nine-episode series will touch on each of New England’s nine Super Bowl appearances with Brady under center, while there will also be “smaller, seemingly insignificant instances that became pivotal events and paved the path of the future Hall of Famer’s journey.”

This Brady documentary will also reportedly tackle a few different controversial scandals from the quarterback’s NFL career, as well as potentially including Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and others as potential interviewees.

Brady’s time in New England was a storied tenure both for positive reasons, such as Super Bowl runs and endless accolades, and negative reasons, like scandals and reported rocky relationships with personnel in the organization. All of that will make for a thrilling documentary now set for 2021.

Before the documentary eventually gets closer, here are three topics that we hope are detailed further within the documentary when it hits the airwaves.
