NFL Uniforms: Grades for all 32 teams’ look in 2020

Chicago Bears: B
Chicago found a way to blend a traditional, classic look with the trends and colors of the modern game. The stripes are a clean addition to an overall smooth uniform. I give them bonus points for the striped socks, too. Those “burnt orange” jerseys are also some of the best in the NFL, which is way better than the overly-striped throwbacks they wore last season.
Detroit Lions: C-
Detroit had a chance to make some really nice uniforms. Alas, they committed one of the cardinal sins of uniform-making: They put their name on their sleeve. It’s awkward and unnecessary. On top of that, instead of injecting any white into their home look, they threw in a random, second shade of silver. It’s hard to ignore the mess on these uniforms.
Green Bay Packers: C+
Considering the team’s lengthy and storied past, Green Bay gets arguably the biggest bump in their look. That’s why their differing stripe patterns or plain, basic numbers aren’t too big of a deal. It still shouldn’t distract from the worst aspect of these threads, which I pointed out Wednesday:
"“Look at an image of their uniforms; you can see the holes and occasionally the pads underneath.” The old, Reebok-style fabric template the Packers use prevent this uniform from reaching its full potential."
Minnesota Vikings: B
There’s nothing totally wrong with Minnesota’s uniforms. The design and fonts pair well with each other. The purple matte helmet adds some flare, even if the black facemasks look slightly out of place. It’s a light yet unique look that bodes just fine in my book. The purple Color Rush with gold trim is a nice alternate, too.
