NFL Predictions 2020: One surprise rookie gem who will star for each team

Tennessee Titans: Larrell Murchison, DT
Earlier in the offseason, the Tennessee Titans traded away Jurrell Casey which hurt the talent on their defensive line. They had plenty of faith in the players they still had which is understandable considering they have one of the better defenses in the game. But that didn’t mean they weren’t interested in finding a player capable of filling the void left by Casey.
That’s where fifth-round pick Larrell Murchison comes in. The North Carolina State defensive tackle began his collegiate career at Louisburg College. He then transferred to NC State for his final two seasons and showed off his immense talent.
However, he was considered undersized for a defensive tackle at 6-2 and 297 pounds. For the Titans, that doesn’t seem to be an issue as he would fit nicely as a defensive end in their 3-4 front, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him on the field often as a rookie.
While with the Wolfpack, Murchison turned into a playmaker who was in the backfield often. He had 48 tackles, 12 for a loss, and seven sacks in his final season.
Overall, the Titans had a solid draft as they replaced a lot of talent that they lost. They landed Isaiah Wilson who will take over for Jack Conklin and Kristian Fulton, who replaces Logan Ryan. Doing so was important as it allows them to stay competitive while also being able to pay Ryan Tannehill (although there’s a case to be made that he was vastly overpaid) and franchise tag Derrick Henry.
