Will the Philadelphia Eagles make another trip to t

The Philadelphia Eagles suffered a wave of injuries last season that culminated in Carson Wentz suffering a concussion on a controversial hit from Seattle’s Jadeveon Clowney in the Wild Card Round. After going 9-7 and narrowly winning the NFC East, Philadelphia lost its playoff game behind an injury-stricken lineup.

However, the Eagles used the 2020 offseason to get healthy and seem primed for another run at the division title. Assuming key players avoid injuries, the Eagles should crack the ten-win barrier for the first time since their Super Bowl run in 2017.

As always, Philadelphia benefits from its division schedule. The team faces the New York Giants and Washington Redskins twice apiece, which should translate to four easy wins. While the Dallas Cowboys provide a greater challenge, the Eagles should at least split the two-game series this year.

The Eagles face the eighth easiest strength of schedule in 2020. The teams on Philadelphia’s schedule went 124-131-1 last year, making the Eagles one of 13 teams facing a schedule where opponents combined for a record under .500.

Wentz and company face a much harder schedule outside of their division. Philadelphia faces the entire NFC West, which produced three nine-win teams last year and is the most competitive division in football. The Eagles also face the AFC North with the soaring Baltimore Ravens and recuperating Pittsburgh Steelers.

Philadelphia also draws two unique games that their division rivals don’t play. Unfortunately, as the top seed in the NFC East from last year, Philadelphia faces Green Bay and New Orleans this season. Both teams went 13-3 in 2019 and possess future Hall of Fame quarterbacks.

While Doug Pederson’s team faces some tough stretches, the Eagles should repeat as NFC East champions in 2020.
