NFC East Over/Under Predictions

Dallas Cowboys – 9.5 Wins

Yes, the Dallas Cowboys not getting to work in-person with new head coach Mike McCarthy is not a positive. At the same time, the talent on this team remains in the elite tier of the league. They should be a double-digit team with a marginal coaching upgrade, which I believe they made. Bonus points if they are able to work out a long-term contract with Dak Prescott before the July 15 deadline to avoid that distraction as well. Prediction: Over

New York Giants – 6.5 Wins

There’s no question that the Giants offensive line was an issue for Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley last year and, in a couple of ways, New York has remedied those issues. At the same time, Big Blue’s defense was awful last season and I don’t see a clear path to how they are much better in the 2020 season, which will prove to be their downfall on many occasions. Prediction: Under

Philadelphia Eagles – 9.5 Wins

Few teams caused me the problems in this exercise like the Philadelphia Eagles. At this point, especially after the Jalen Hurts selection, it’s hard for me to believe in the health of Carson Wentz and, even if they drafted a first-round wide receiver, that group still leaves me lukewarm. The defense is improved but there are still secondary and linebacker holes. This might be unpopular but I’m saying this is a 9-7 team. Prediction: Under

Washington Redskins – 5.5 Wins

Full disclosure, I’m not a Dwayne Haskins believer, which is obviously going to color my perception of this team. Even if I was, however, the offensive line concerns me and the wide receivers even more so. Throw in a secondary that has a ton of question marks and it seems to me that Ron Rivera and a new regime have a lot of work to do before this team is winning six or more games in the future. Prediction: Under
