Who are the 10 best players on the Dallas Cowboys roster right now?

After a successful offseason, the Dallas Cowboys find themselves with one of their most talented rosters in recent memory. They did lose starters from their 2019 team which did hurt, and while they might not have found players who can completely replace stars such as Byron Jones or Robert Quinn, they did find players at other positions of major need.

In free agency, they added safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix as well as defensive tackles Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe. However, the real influx of talent that has fans excited came courtesy the 2020 NFL Draft.

Dallas ended up securing some big names as they took Oklahoma wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in the first round, Alabama cornerback Trevon Diggs in the second, and Oklahoma defensive tackle Neville Gallimore in the third. They continued to add talent, landing Wisconsin center Tyler Biadasz in the fourth and Utah defensive end Bradlee Anae in the fifth.

With all the new faces, we now look over their roster and rank the top 10 members of the Cowboys roster this coming season.

Honorable mention: Gerald McCoy, Defensive Tackle

Gerald McCoy was the biggest fish landed in free agency and while he doesn’t crack the top-10 right now, there was a time not too long ago where he would have been in the Cowboys top-5. The No. 3 overall pick out of Oklahoma in 2010, McCoy is a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-Team All-Pro.

After being released by Tampa Bay ahead of the 2019 season, he joined the Carolina Panthers and recorded 37 tackles and five sacks. Had he been in Dallas, McCoy would have been the top interior defender on the team in 2019.

And he likely will be in 2020, but he’s still just outside of the top-10, which is a testament to the team’s depth this season.
