1. Trubisky hasn’t lost his confidence

Despite all the negativity surrounding him this offseason, Trubisky still has his confidence, per ESPN.com:

"“I think it’s going to be a good competition…I know we’re going to push each other…I’m excited for the competition and just get back on the field with my guys and show everybody what I can still do and how hard I’ve been working this offseason to help the Bears win games this year.”"

It’s good to see that Trubisky isn’t getting down on himself. He’s still up and wants to prove to the Bears and the fans that he can play the way they all expect. He has shown flashes of what he could do, but they are too few and far between.

He won’t admit it but he knows that many people don’t give him a chance of winning the quarterback battle. It may be an uphill battle but Trubisky just needs to put things together. Also, he needs to read defenses better. If he can just get that part down he likely wins that battle. Everything else is easier to do when you know what the defense is doing.

Trubisky has the attitude you want in your starting quarterback. He’s a hard worker, always says the right things, and always stays positive. If this battle pushes him to be the best player he can be, then he could be the quarterback the Chicago Bears expected when they drafted him.  If he can’t, he’ll have to take that confidence somewhere else.
