New York Giants – Fantasy Football Stock Watch

After welcoming new head coach in Joe Judge, the Giants turned heads with an impressive 2020 Draft. The offensive line and defense were both bolstered, and the lack of significant upgrades at any skill position bodes well for the budding talent on the existing roster.

Quarterback Daniel Jones turned in a better-than-expected rookie performance in 2019, despite lackluster offensive line play, the loss of wide receiver Golden Tate for the first four games of the season, and at least two concussions sustained by his second option at wide receiver, Sterling Shepard.

Fifth-round rookie Darius Slayton was a revelation last season, and the lack of additions to the wide receiving corps this offseason is a strong signal that the Giants are believers in his talent. While the fantasy football community is a bit lukewarm on Shepard due to medical concerns, Slayton’s arrow continues to point upwards.

Add returning superstar Saquon Barkley to the mix, and Jones should have no problem building on last season’s surprising success, even if Evan Engram (multiple concussions) is unable to stay healthy. Engram’s talent is for real, but astute fantasy veterans in deeper leagues have every reason to look Kaden Smith’s way in the later rounds.
