What are the biggest issues still facing the four teams in the AFC North?

The NFL has changed in ways we’ve never seen before in the 2020 offseason. The NFL Draft was held virtually, free agency has been delayed in some avenues due to medical limitations and offseason workouts have been canceled.

And yet, as things proceed, training camp should be starting in roughly a month while the regular season should go off as planned as well. The year will kick off on the night of Thursday, Sept. 10 with the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans.

This is the third of an eight-part series dealing with each NFL division and what are the top questions facing each club. There’s already been a look at both the AFC East and NFC East. Now up is the AFC North, which a year ago featured the team with the best record in the league, as well as the club that finished with an NFL-low two wins in 2019.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are still under the command of Mike Tomlin, who begins his 14th season in the Steel City while John Harbaugh will begin 13th campaign as the Baltimore Ravens’ head coach. Meanwhile, the Cincinnati Bengals trot out Zac Taylor for the second consecutive year and the always-interesting Cleveland Browns hired Kevin Stefanski, the club’s 12th different sideline leader since returning to the league as an expansion club in 1999.

So what are the biggest issues for each of the four clubs in the AFC North? There’s now less than three months before the start of NFL 2020 and lots of work to be done by each organization.

NOTE: Teams are listed in order of finish in 2019.
