One NFL player you forgot played for your favorite team

Indianapolis Colts – Marshall Faulk
Entering the 1994 NFL Draft, Marshall Faulk was one of the elite players and considered by many to be a can’t-miss prospect. He then ran a 4.28 at the Scouting Combine which solidified the San Diego State University running back as the most explosive player in the class.
Faulk ended up being taken second overall as the Indianapolis Colts were thrilled to add him to their team. He was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year after recording 1,804 yards from scrimmage and scoring 12 touchdowns.
What really made him special was his ability to destroy defenses as a receiver just as he could running the ball. In five seasons for the Colts, he had at least 1,000-yards on the ground four times (only missing the mark in 1996 when he was dealing with a nagging foot injury). He also topped 2,000-yards from scrimmage in 1998, which was his final season with the Colts.
In the middle of contract negotiations, there was a threat that Faulk could hold out. Indianapolis ended up moving on as they traded him to the St. Louis Rams in 1999. That was a great move for Faulk who joined the “Greatest Show on Turf” with the Rams.
He won a Super Bowl and an NFL MVP with the Rams as he was great alongside Kurt Warner, Isaac Bruce, and Tory Holt. He’s a Hall of Famer who is known more for his seven years with the Rams than his start with the Colts.
