Jacksonville Jaguars – Torry Holt

From one member of the ‘Greatest Show on Turf’ to another, Torry Holt was the No. 6 overall pick for the St. Louis Rams in 1999. The North Carolina State star was an instant hit, catching 52 passes for 788 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie. He was a part of the Rams Super Bowl run that season and he was the game-breaker that the offense really needed to round things out with Marshall Faulk, Isaac Bruce, and Kurt Warner.

They didn’t win another Super Bowl, but Holt only got better as a player. He was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and twice led the league in receiving yards — which was in 2000 when he had 1,635 yards and 2003 when he had 1,696. He was also the receptions leader in 2003 when he had 117 catches on the year.

Holt finished second to Isaac Bruce in Rams history with 869 receptions for 12,660 yards, and 74 touchdowns. After 10 seasons with St. Louis, Holt hit free agency and signed a three-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He had a rough season, catching just 51 of 103 targets for 722 yards with no touchdowns. He was released following the season and never played in the NFL again. Holt did try to play one more season though, signing with the New England Patriots in 2010 — but a knee injury ended that campaign before it began.
