Pittsburgh Steelers – Michael Vick

There were three separate quarterbacks that nearly made this list. One was Len Dawson, who started his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers before being traded to the Cleveland Browns. Dawson wasn’t in Cleveland long either as he ended up joining the Kansas City Chiefs where he found his footing and had a great career.

There was also Johnny Unitas, who was a star for the Baltimore Colts, but was originally drafted by the Steelers. However, Unitas never actually played for Pittsburgh as they released him before the 1955 season began.

As for Dawson, he was covered in-depth on the Browns, so instead, we choose Michael Vick here. Vick is infamous for having his NFL career interrupted by the discovery of a dogfighting ring which ended with him serving time in prison. This brought to a halt one of the most exciting young careers we had ever seen as Vick was a superstar for the Atlanta Falcons.

Once he was free, he was given a second chance with the Philadelphia Eagles and made the most out of that. He spent five seasons in Philly and had an MVP-caliber season in 2010 at the age of 30. He then joined the New York Jets in 2014 before signing with the Steelers in 2015. At 35-years of age, he was there to back up Ben Roethlisberger and was 2-1 as a starter.
