These free agents still on the market could help the Chicago Bears in 2020.

The Chicago Bears made a number of moves to improve their fortunes from 2019 when they finished just 8-8 and missed the playoffs. There could be a number of jobs on the line, most notably general manager Ryan Pace.

With the feeling of heads rolling if the Bears don’t at least make a playoff appearance, everyone, from the front office to the coaching staff to the players feel the pressure. Even though Pace already made moves to improve the roster, he could decide to make even more moves.

There are still plenty of free agents available who could help the team this season. The running back position could use some depth and the most pressing need for many, the offensive line, is still an unknown. Adding another lineman to the mix couldn’t hurt, right?

The Bears don’t exactly have an incredibly large amount of salary cap space but they have over $10 million, enough to add a player or two to help the team. With the pressure at Halas Hall, whatever it takes should be the Chicago Bears motto.

With the Covid-19 virus pandemic, there is a great deal of available free agents. There is almost a “take your pick” feel to the list. Some pretty good players remain unsigned. The price to sign them may be friendly for teams.

Of course, with the virus, some players might decide to sit out the 2020 NFL season and just wait for 2021. Most, however, want to play, virus or no, so as training camp nears they’ll do what they can to sign with a team.

Here are five free agents the Chicago Bears could sign before the start of training camp.
