2. Atlanta offense will be even more dominant

Another prediction that will occur throughout the regular season and perhaps beyond for the Falcons this season is that the offensive unit will continue to be solid and might be even more dominant during the 2020 campaign.

Over the course fo the last few seasons, Atlanta has been able to keep its potent core together for the most part on offense, especially in the passing game led by quarterback Matt Ryan and wide receivers Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley.

During the 2019 season, Ryan, Jones and Ridley continued to thrive while seeing tight end Austin Hooper step up and become a nice option in the passing game and having running back Devonta Freeman and company leading the way in the rushing attack.

During the offseason, however, the Falcons parted ways with Hooper and Freeman, with two holes to fill in key spots within the offense. That resulted in the team going out and acquiring tight end Hayden Hurst in a trade with the Baltimore Ravens and also going into free agency to sign running back Todd Gurley following his time with the Los Angeles Rams.

With the continuity of having Ryan, Jones and Ridley in the passing attack and adding Hurst and Gurley into the mix of things offensively, Atlanta might be poised to put together an even more impressive campaign on that side of the field in 2020.

It will be interesting to see if those two notable additions to the offense will be able to acclimate early and hit the ground running with the Falcons during the regular season. If this unit is able to mesh and thrive early and often, Atlanta will be in a good spot this year and will once again consist of one of the top offensive groups in the NFL.
