What is the one weakness every team must overcome in the NFL 2020 season?

The 2020 NFL season is just around the corner and the majority of the teams in the league are done building their rosters. Now, it’s all about seeing how it all fits once the pads go on.

Of course, no team feels 100 percent confident about their roster from top to bottom. Such is the reality in the salary cap era where teams have to make tough decisions about who to pay and who to let walk.

With that being the case, we look at all 32 teams in the NFL and identify their most glaring weaknesses.

Arizona Cardinals: Offensive Line

The Arizona Cardinals were faced with a tough decision when they were on the clock at No. 8 overall. There was no denying their biggest hole was on the offensive line and with quarterback Kyler Murray entering his second season in the league, it was imperative that they protected him better.

The problem is, the top player on their board at that spot was Isaiah Simmons, a linebacker from Clemson. There was surely some internal debate considering the Cards weren’t drafting again until pick 72 in the third round, meaning they weren’t landing a plug and play offensive tackle if they took Simmons.

In the end, they decided to let talent win out and Simmons was the pick. At 72, they took Josh Jones from Houston who could be a solid tackle in time. Having said that, they could be in trouble this season.

Atlanta Falcons: Cornerback

Releasing Marcus Trufant was risky. Replacing him with A.J. Terrell could be even more so.

The Atlanta Falcons need to be better on defense in 2020 or they will continue to struggle. They decided in order to do that, they were going to make some big changes which included the Trufant move as well as allowing Vic Beasley to leave in free agency.

Dante Fowler ended up being a solid replacement for Beasley but Terrell doesn’t feel like the right guy for them in the secondary. He’s a fine player but he was over-drafted at No. 16 and they could be putting too much pressure on him out of the gate.
