New York Jets: Wide Receiver

When Sam Darnold was healthy, the New York Jets were a competitive team. They finished 7-9 overall but with him starting, Gang Green was 7-6. Their draft was all about helping Darnold improve as they added Mekhi Becton with their first pick. Later, they added wideout Denzel Mims, who could turn into a No. 1 wide receiver in time.

The problem is, the Jets don’t have much time to develop Mims as he should be a day one starter with the only other options being Breshad Perriman, Josh Doctson and slot receiver Jamison Crowder.

Perriman is coming off his best season as a pro, catching 36 passes for 645 yards and six touchdowns in Tampa Bay. Still, the wideout depth chart could be the main problem for New York.

Philadelphia Eagles: Wide Receiver

The selection of Jalen Reagor in the 2020 NFL Draft is going to help the Philadelphia Eagles immensely. Despite making the playoffs in 2019, this was a team that struggled on offense due to their lack of wideouts. It was so bad that at one point, they were readying to put 40-year-old quarterback Josh McCown in the game as a receiver.

Injuries were the main problem but that just highlighted their lack of depth. Should Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson stay healthy, they could be solid. They also added Marquise Goodwin and are hoping for a jump from J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. In short, they’re better than last season but they still have some concerns.
