Pittsburgh Steelers: Pass Catchers

Wide receiver was once a strength for the Pittsburgh Steelers but entering the NFL 2020 season, they aren’t as set as they would hope. JuJu Smith-Schuster had his least productive season as a pro after Antonio Brown left in free agency and James Washington has improved but is still inconsistent.

Diontae Johnson was their best player at times in 2019 and they did add Chase Claypool which will help, but this is far from the receiving corps that struck fear into defensive coordinator’s hearts just a few seasons ago.

San Francisco 49ers: Wide Receiver

The recent injury for Deebo Samuel really stings for the San Francisco 49ers. He had 802 yards receiving and 159 rushing as a rookie and they were expecting big things from him in year two. With him out until tag least the start of the season, the team is going to lean heavily on another rookie as first-round pick Brandon Aiyuk is going to be the top wideout with Kendrick Bourne, Dante Pettis, and Jalen Hurd rounding things out until Samuel is back to 100 percent.

There have been rumors recently that Dez Bryant could be interested in joining the team and while he hasn’t played since 2017, he could be a decent option for a team that can use someone in the passing game to threaten defensive backs.
