Detroit Lions: EDGE

Trey Flowers was a good signing in 2019 and he returns in 2020 looking to continue to build upon his impressive resume. The problem is, the Detroit Lions were still near the bottom of the league in sacks even with him on the roster.

This year, the team did try and improve their defense and they did a good job with some of their additions – the best being Jeff Okudah, the shutdown cornerback from Ohio State. Even so, they didn’t get enough help for Flowers, meaning the pass rush could be a problem again for the Lions.

Green Bay Packers: Wide Receiver

The biggest issue for the Green Bay Packers could play out behind the scenes. When the Packers moved up in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft for Jordan Love, everyone around the world could see the tension that could be on the horizon.

Sure, Aaron Rodgers knows he’s closer to the end of his career than his prime but he won’t be ready to give up his job easily. And with the issues he and Matt LaFleur had to start last season, there could be more drama.

As for their roster, the biggest hole is at wide receiver. Green Bay continues to leave Davante Adams on an island as the top wideout on the team, with very little help. It was an issue last season and it could be just as big of a problem this year.
