2. Montravius Adams, DL

One of the most underrated parts of the Packers roster is the defensive line. Kenny Clark is a bonafide star, Dean Lowry is one of the most underrated players in the league at the position and young Kingsley Keke has big expectations coming into the 2020 NFL season. But one player who hasn’t fit into the mold like many hoped is Montravius Adams.

A third-round pick in 2017, Adams flashed a bit in limited work in the 2018 season but his rookie year and 2019 campaign were less than desirable. He’s not been able to crack the rotation with any kind of meaningful consistency. And with some depth present at the position, it wouldn’t shock me to see Green Bay cut bait to save $840,000.

1. Jamaal Williams, RB

While this one would certainly raise some eyebrows, it would also make sense in the long run. That’s why ESPN’s Bill Barnwell named Jamaal Williams as the Packers’ candidate to still be cut or traded this offseason. Because even though the running back has been effective when on the field, Williams has become expendable in Green Bay after this offseason.

Williams played 14 games last year and notched 460 rushing yards on 107 carries with one touchdown while also catching 39 balls for 253 yards and five scores. Yet, with the Pack drafting AJ Dillon in the second round, he’s likely going to fall well behind him and Aaron Jones in the pecking order. Maybe they want as many backs as possible in the offense but it wouldn’t be completely shocking to see the organization want to save over $2.1 million by cutting him.
