A way too early 7-round Dallas Cowboys 2021 NFL mock draft

There weren’t many teams that had as much success during the 2020 NFL Draft as the Dallas Cowboys did. Following an offseason that saw them lose Byron Jones, Robert Quinn, and Randall Cobb in free agency, they were in need of an infusion of talent via the draft. They got that, and then some.

Dallas was fortunate enough to land CeeDee Lamb, an explosive wideout from Oklahoma. No one expected the Cowboys to land him since there were nearly no mock drafts out there with Lamb surviving past pick 15 — at the absolute latest. Once he was there, the team wasted no time making the pick.

From there, they only continued to find great value for each of their selections. Alabama cornerback Trevon Diggs at 51 was a steal as was Neville Gallimore at pick No. 82. For some fun trivia, Gallimore was even picked at No. 71 in the CFL Draft as the Canadian-born athlete was the top pick in their draft and was taken by the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who now own his rights should he ever decide to move north.

Dallas got a few more steals with Tyler Biadasz and Bradlee Anae late, giving new head coach Mike McCarthy a rather deep, and talented roster to work with during the 2020 season.

As exciting as the upcoming campaign should be for the Cowboys, they’re also in good shape for the next few seasons, provided they work out a deal with quarterback Dak Prescott who is playing on the franchise tag.

Here, we look at the future for the Dallas Cowboys with this 7-round 2021 NFL Mock Draft.
