The Minnesota Vikings have some glaring weakness as training camp looms.

After somewhat of a busy offseason, we will likely see some new faces spread across the depth chart of the Minnesota Vikings squad throughout the course of the 2020 NFL season.

Minnesota had a decent amount of talent depart the team through free agency and the trade market, but will still be returning a bulk of its core players leading into the new year this fall.

With the roster taking shape following the offseason for the purple and gold, the Vikings hope to pick up where it left off in 2019 with some new contributors set to take the field.

Last season, Minnesota was able to put together a double-digit win season after compiling a record of 10-6 and earning an NFC Wild Card spot in the playoffs. The Vikings tallied their third double-digit win campaign for the third time in the last five years, something it hopes to extend to two in a row and four of the last six seasons in 2020.

Looking at the layout of the division this year, the Vikings will still be in a position to put together a strong campaign while being an early favorite to claim the NFC North while going up against other teams in the division like the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.

Although there are still some question marks surrounding the team as training camps and preseason contests eventually begin around the league, Minnesota still has the expectation to make it back to the playoffs for a second consecutive campaign this year and it might just be able to do that at the end of the regular season.

With the depth chart and roster continuing to fill out leading up to the new season in 2020, let’s take a look at three weaknesses still remaining for the Vikings before the year can officially kick off.
