Ranking the 5 best NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year candidates for 2020.

Nothing about the 2020 NFL offseason was normal. The COVID-19 pandemic flipped everything upside down. Despite all the turmoil and uncertainty, the 2020 NFL season is happening. However, there’s one thing that will remain the same. The 2020 NFL Draft class has rookies who are looking to make an impact.

Like the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year candidates, I’ll dive into the offensive rookies who are in the best position to take home NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Before I do, there are some things you have to know.

Since 2010, quarterbacks have dominated the award with five signal-callers taking home the trophy — but it wasn’t always that way. Steelers signal-caller, Ben Roethlisberger was the first quarterback to win the award since Dan Marino. While Dak Prescott (Cowboys) defied the odds being the first fourth-round quarterback win it.

Odell Beckham Jr. is only one of three receivers to win the award since Randy Moss did so in 1998. Running backs are the kings when it comes to NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, winning three times since 2015. And Alvin Kamara proved you don’t have to cross 1,000 rushing yards or be a first-round pick to do it.

Before we get started. I’ll give you a heads up for the players you won’t see. Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor and Lions’ D’Andre Swift didn’t make the cut. Both backs are amazing talents but Taylor is playing in a committee. Swift is playing behind an iffy offensive line and his production will depend on Kerryon Johnson’s health and usage.

There was only room enough for one first-round quarterback as well, so Tua Tagovailoa didn’t make the cut. As far as the wide receivers, well, two players made the list. And with that, let’s see who the players are that made the cut.
