2020 NFL Quarterback Power Rankings: Cam Newton signing shakes things up

Tom Brady in a Tampa Bay Buccaneers uniform is going to take some time to get used to. It will surely be as strange as it was seeing Joe Montana put on a Kansas City Chiefs jersey considering Montana was as synonymous with the Niners’ success as Brady has been with the Pats.
Montana played in Kansas City for his final two seasons at the age of 37 and 38 and was still effective at the time. As for Brady, he signed a two-year deal and will be 43 when this season begins. He will be older than Montana was to close out his career and it could be argued that he’s also more effective.
Last season, Brady threw for 4,057 yards with a 24-to-8 touchdown-to-interception ratio. He also led his team to an amazing 11th-straight double-digit winning season. In fact, Brady only twice led New England to less than 10 wins. Once was in 2002 when they were 9-7, and the other was in 2008 when he tore his ACL and played in just one game.
Those were also the only seasons that New England didn’t make the postseason since Brady took over full-time in 2001.
Now in Tampa Bay, Brady has even more talent around him than he did at any time in New England, except maybe the 2007 season when New England went 16-0. This isn’t to say the Bucs will go undefeated but they’re suddenly a powerhouse in the NFC thanks to Brady.
