Here are the top three targets for the New England Patriots new-look offense going into the 2020 NFL season.

All eyes will unquestionably be on Foxborough throughout the 2020 NFL season as the rest of the league looks at the New England Patriots to see how they will enter into a new era of football.

New England will look very different than what it has looked like for basically the past decade, with a new quarterback set to take over the charge of the offense for the first time since 2000 following legendary quarterback Tom Brady signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason.

After spending a majority of the offseason talking about how they will avoid rebuilding mode and if second-year quarterback Jarrett Stidham or veteran quarterback Brian Hoyer would ultimately take over under center in Foxborough, there is now another player to throw into the mix and who should be viewed as a frontrunner to land the starting role.

This week, the Patriots made the free agent signing of former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton official, adding the quarterback into a race for the starting job leading the offense for New England.

Going into 2020, the Patriots are coming off of another AFC East title in 2019 with a record of 12-4 overall, finishing ahead of the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets and Miami Dolphins in the division standings. The Patriots, however, were surprisingly bounced in the opening round of the playoffs while seeing their season end much earlier than they hoped.

In 2020, New England will have its work cut out for it to try and defend its division title and return to the playoffs at the end of the year no matter who takes over at quarterback. With the mix of new faces, the Patriots also hold the toughest schedule in the NFL this season and do have some glaring weaknesses still present heading into training camp.

With the Patriots having a new-look offense taking place, there are a few players who could remain as top targets for Newton, Stidham or Hoyer on that side of the field in Foxborough during the 2020 campaign.

As training camp continues to creep closer, let’s take a look at three top targets that will be present for New England this season.
