Minnesota Vikings: Top 3 targets on offense in 2020
Here are the top three offensive targets for the Minnesota Vikings in 2020.
Even though the offseason has been somewhat busy for the Minnesota Vikings, with a few different players departing the organization via free agency and the trade market, Minnesota will return a bulk of the offense onto the field during the 2020 NFL season.
Outside of the departure of star wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who was traded to the Buffalo Bills during the offseason, the Vikings will bring back a bulk of the core group on the offensive side of the ball to try and return to the playoffs for another season in 2020.
There will be some new players that will have to step up and shine during the course of the year on both offense and defense, but there are some early targets on offense that will emerge right out of the gate in Minnesota.
The Vikings are looking to continue to build off of a 2019 campaign where they were able to put together a double-digit win season after compiling a record of 10-6 and earning an NFC Wild Card spot in the playoffs. Minnesota tallied its third double-digit win campaign for the third time in the last five years, something it hopes to extend to two in a row and four of the last six seasons in 2020.
Looking at the layout of the division this year, the Vikings will still be in a position to put together a strong campaign while being an early favorite to claim the NFC North while going up against other teams in the division like the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears and Detroit Lions.
It will has yet to be seen exactly how this Minnesota squad will look on both sides of the ball, but we will likely see a lot of the same in 2020 that we’ve seen in the last few years led yet again by quarterback Kirk Cousins.
As training camp continues to approach, let’s take a look at three top targets that will be present for the Vikings in 2020.
