2. Adam Thielen

There is arguably no better underdog story throughout the NFL than that of Minnesota wide receiver Adam Thielen. After attending a Division II school and going undrafted out of college, the Minnesota native has established himself as one of the best wideouts in the league during his six-year career as a professional.

In past seasons, Thielen’s dominance in the passing game has been assisted by pairing up with Stefon Diggs on the other side of the field. But after Diggs was traded away this offseason, Thielen is now the lone star at the position going into the 2020 campaign.

This season, Thielen will no doubt be in charge of leading the Vikings receiving group and will also help lead a suddenly younger wideout corps while they try to fill in the gaps left behind by Diggs and others who have departed this offseason.

Although health issues have recently been somewhat of an issue for Thielen, having appeared in 10 of the 16 regular season games in 2019, the wide receiver will look to remain on the field in 2020 and become arguably the top target in the passing game for Minnesota.

In 2019, Thielen dealt with some injury issues for really the first time in his career, missing a total of six games with a few different injuries. Prior to that, he has managed to play in every game in his NFL career.

Last year, Thielen managed to tally a total of 48 targets, 30 receptions and 418 yards in 10 games for the purple and gold, hauling in six receiving touchdowns while rushing for one touchdown on offense.

Prior to the 2019 campaign, Thielen has been extremely reliable and has thrived within the Vikings offense, being named to the Pro Bowl in back-to-back seasons in 2017 and 2018 while surpassing the 1,000 receiving yard mark in his only two seasons as a professional.

In 2020, he will be relied upon once again to lead the wide receiver group and will unquestionably become a top target on offense for Kirk Cousins and company in the passing game.
