The five highest-rated Minnesota Vikings in Madden NFL 21.

Last week, Madden 21 released the full list of player ratings going into the upcoming season, including the full roster for the Minnesota Vikings as they hope to get back to the playoffs in 2020 in real life.

With Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson as the cover athlete on the cover of Madden 21 this year, the game will be released to users on Aug. 25 to get them excited and ready for actual football to begin later on in the calendar year.

Five NFL players were among the elite in the 99 rating club awarded by Madden, with those players being Los Angeles Rams defensive end Aaron Darnold, Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and New England Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore.

That’s a distinct group of superstars from throughout the league who, frankly, are hard to argue that they deserve that strong distinction from EA Sports. Although no Vikings players landed in the 99 Club, a handful of Minnesota players did receive overall ratings of over, at or near 90 from the video game.

Before the real version of NFL football begins later this calendar year, let’s take a look at the top Vikings player ratings on Madden 21 prior to the virtual version of the game being released to the public in August.
