3. Michael Pierce

Madden 21 rating: 91

Coming in at No. 3 on the list of top five Vikings player ratings according to Madden 21 is a newcomer to Minnesota in the newly signed defensive tackle Michael Pierce.

Pierce, who signed with the Vikings during free agency this offseason after spending his first four seasons in the league with the Baltimore Ravens, was tagged with an overall rating of 91 on Madden 21. That rating is the second-highest among defensive players in purple and gold.

Going into his fifth season in the NFL and first with Minnesota this season, Pierce received attribute ratings of 71 in speed, 86 in acceleration, 96 in strength, 68 in agility, 85 in awareness, 85 in tackling, 74 in jumping ability, 72 in stamina, 84 in toughness and 77 in power.

In his last season in Baltimore in 2019, Pierce managed to appear in 14 games during the regular season schedule, finishing with 35 combined tackles, three quarterback hits, two tackles for loss, 0.5 sacks and one fumble recovery. Over his four-year career, he has missed just a total of four games.

With a new beginning with the Vikings in 2020, Pierce looks to come in and make an impact right out of the gate among a defensive unit that has been one of the tops in the league over the last few seasons.
