Denver stays at No. 21

This is a team to watch in 2020. The Denver Broncos were 7-9 a season ago but there’s a chance they could improve drastically this season. They saw progress at the end of the year once they got Drew Lock healthy and he took over for Joe Flacco — who was not in his prime as John Elway tried to suggest ahead of the 2019 season.

Lock had a great connection with Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant and the Broncos went out of their way to make sure he had even more weapons in 2020. With their first two picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, Denver took Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler, giving them a great No. 2 and No. 3 wide receiver. They also landed Lock’s top target at Missouri in tight end Albert Okwuegbunam who will be a solid No. 2 tight end behind Fant.

They also picked up Melvin Gordon in free agency which actually crowds their running back room with Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman already there. It’s not as if too much talent is a bad thing though and the Broncos could benefit from the three men combating with one another for snaps.

There will be some questions on defense and the offensive line. They have talent in each area but they need to put it all together and prove they can make it work.
