Indianapolis moves from No. 16 to 17

This is a hard team to figure out. The Indianapolis Colts were 7-9 last year with Jacoby Brissett as the starter, which was only the case thanks to Andrew Luck surprisingly deciding to retire ahead of the season. Now in a twist no one ever saw coming, they enter 2020 with Luck, the No. 1 overall pick in 2012, gone for a full season and Philip Rivers — the No. 4 overall pick in 2004 — in as the starter.

Rivers is a bit of a wildcard this year for the Colts. He has the arm to continue to light up the scoreboards but he also has some issues with turnovers and last season was evidence of that as he threw 20 interceptions. Now, he will have a whole new offense to learn with new pass catchers to get used to.

The good news is, the Colts have been doing a good job adding talent to their roster over the past couple of years. They have rebuilt the offensive line and added a lot of talent to their defense. They also used their 2020 NFL Draft to add a lot of help, including running back Jonathan Taylor who has the ability to carry the load on offense by himself.

It won’t all be on Rivers but he’s going to be what decides whether they stick around 7-9 or find themselves with a winning record.
