Cleveland stays at No. 15

There’s been a lot of drama in Berea over the past few seasons and the Cleveland Browns need to see that subside if they hope to ever get out of the quagmire they’ve been stuck in since returning to the NFL in 1999. Last year was a perfect example of how things tend to go with Cleveland.

They entered the year with a lot of hype thanks to a talented roster led by Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham, and Myles Garrett. There was also a new coach (again) as they had just hired Freddie Kitchens, who had wowed us all with his play-calling during the final eight games the season before.

Then the season began and they were blown out in Week 1. They limped to a 6-10 finish and then spent this offseason doing what they always do — firing everyone and starting over.

So we are back to the hype portion of the Browns rebuild with Kevin Stefanski as the new coach and a few new names in Austin Hooper, Jack Conklin, and Karl Joseph. The hope is that it all works this time.

On paper, they’re a good team and Stefanski looks to be the right guy. But at this point, we need to see it in order to believe it.
