2020 NFL Power Rankings: Patriots moving up as training camp nears

Jets move from No. 27 to 30
Last season, the New York Jets started out slow but finished strong. They were 7-9 overall but what was encouraging was the fact that they were 7-6 with Sam Darnold starting for them. The problem is, they didn’t have any signature wins to really build on.
Their wins included defeats over teams such as the Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, and Oakland Raiders. Their two biggest victories were against the Dallas Cowboys who were 8-8 and the 10-6 Buffalo Bills, however, the Bills were resting their starters in that game as they had a playoff spot locked up.
This means they’re heading into 2020 hoping to finally start notching up some wins against better teams. Unfortunately, their roster isn’t significantly improved upon from a season ago. They lost Robby Anderson by replaced him with Breshad Perriman. They also added Denzel Mims and Mekhi Becton to improve the offense.
They could be making another move as well with Jamal Adams, their biggest name on defense, demanding a trade. Their inability to keep Adams happy is the reason for their fall in this most recent 2020 NFL Power Rankings. It’s a bad look for a team when their best players are unhappy. It’s worse when they haven’t won in years and their players are unhappy.
