Giants move from No. 29 to 28

It’s hard to figure out which way the New York Giants are going to go in 2020. They’re a team with some talent on their roster in running back Saquon Barkley and their young quarterback Daniel Jones. The second-year quarterback was good as a rookie and took over for Eli Manning who ended up retiring.

There’s also veteran receiver Golden Tate and second-year wideout Darius Slayton, giving them some options on offense. But what we don’t know is how Joe Judge will work as the head coach and whether or not Jason Garrett (captain vanilla offense himself) will do with the players they have.

On defense, it’s a different story. They do have safety Jabrill Peppers and defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence but overall, this unit isn’t exciting at all. They don’t have much to speak of when it comes to edge rushing and they whiffed on DeAndre Baker at cornerback.

The Giants could be a competitive team simply because of their offense but it’s going to be hard for them to keep up for 60 minutes every week due to their lack of depth and the void of star power on defense.

As for the good news? They’re not the worst team in the NFC East and likely won’t be as long as Dan Snyder continues to own Washington. So they have that going for them.
