There is no surprise that Patriots veteran wide receiver Julian Edelman cracked the top five of best players rated by Madden 21 going into the new season. As the fourth-highest rated player on New England, Edelman received an overall rating of 87 by the video game as he enters yet another season with the Patriots.

Along with that overall rating, Edelman also received attribute ratings of 86 in speed, 91 in acceleration, 68 in strength, 90 in agility, 94 in awareness, 85 in catching ability, 75 in carrying ability, 84 in jumping ability, 88 in injury, 94 in stamina and 93 in toughness.

During the 2020 season, the 34-year-old Edelman will once again lead the Patriots wide receiving group as he takes part in his 11th season in the NFL and with New England.

During the 2019 campaign, Edelman played in all 16 games for the Patriots, starting in 13 of those regular-season matchups. At the end of the year, he recorded 100 receptions for 1,117 yards and six touchdowns, also tallying eight rushing attempts for 27 yards.

Year-in and year-out, Edelman has been as reliable as they come for the Patriots and he will be tasked with once again leading the receiving group on the outside of the field while also working with a new quarterback for the first time in his lengthy professional career in Foxborough.
