1. Denver Broncos

Overall, the Denver Broncos were just 7-9 last season but there was a lot of excitement generated by the way they finished the year out. Second-round pick Drew Lock missed the start of the season due to a thumb injury and didn’t get his first start until Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers.

In that game, he threw for 134 yards with two touchdowns and a pick, while leading Denver to a 23-20 win. The following week, he really took off as he was 22-of-27 for 309 yards with three touchdowns and an interception.

Lock then led them to two more wins following a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, which made their record 4-1 in the five games their rookie started. His numbers in those starts were impressive with a completion percentage of 64.1 while throwing for 1,070 yards with seven touchdowns and three picks.

Then in the offseason, general manager John Elway made sure to stockpile weapons for Lock as they added Jerry Jeudy, K.J. Hamler, and Lock’s former Missouri teammate, Albert Okwuegbunam. They also made plenty of moves to improve the defense which included signing Jurrell Casey and trading for A.J. Bouye. Plus, they’ll have Bradley Chubb back playing opposite Von Miller after Chubb missed 12 games following an ACL tear.
