With no NFL preseason, these five teams will be at a major disadvantage.

Due to concerns about the coronavirus outbreak going on throughout the world, the NFL and NFLPA have been negotiating ways to ensure the 2020 NFL season takes place. One thing that has happened is they decided to skip the preseason and instead will simply have teams report to training camp while the regular season will serve as their first live game action of the year.

For years, the topic of whether or not a preseason is needed has been hotly debated. Many players feel four games are far too much and by now, most fans agree. It seems as though two games would be ideal as it would allow teams to get their rookies some work in games that don’t count while also seeing what the bottom of the roster can do — many players do earn jobs in the NFL based on their preseason film.

At first, it seemed we would get to see how two exhibition games would work out as the league canceled half of the preseason. Eventually, the other two were nixed as well, so we won’t get to see that experiment play out.

Teams such as the Kansas City Chiefs, New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens have made very minimal changes to their roster and coaching staff, so they’ll roll along just fine. However, there are several teams in the NFL that could be adversely affected by not having a preseason to prep their team.

Here we will look at the five franchises who will be most affected by the decision to forgo the exhibition games this year.
