Theses Patriots training camp storylines are key for fantasy football in 2020.

With yet another NFL season about to begin, the New England Patriots and others around the league are working to finalize rosters and figure out who will be taking the field for the team in 2020.

Along with that preparation, fans around the world are also prepping themselves for the upcoming fantasy football season and which players they will target to add to their rosters during the new year.

This season might be a bit more difficult to prepare for until the year ultimately kicks off, which multiple players around the league and especially with the Patriots deciding to not take part in the season while opting out of the year due to COVID-19 concerns. To date, New England has been one of the teams in the NFL that has been impacted more than others when it comes to losing players who decided to opt-out of the year.

While we continue to learn of new or additional players who won’t be taking part in the season, a bulk of solid fantasy football options still remain on both sides of the ball for the Patriots that fans could take a serious look at adding to their fantasy rosters in 2020.  And there are plenty of storylines to watch for before deciding if you should indeed add those players or not.

On the offensive side of the ball, New England will have some intriguing options both in the passing game and in the ground game running the ball. Those options include wide receiver Julian Edelman, new quarterback Cam Newton, running backs Sony Michel and James White and others.

On defense, the Patriots held one of the top defensive groups in the NFL a year ago and they hope they can return to form despite losing a few key players this offseason. New England’s defense emerged as one of the more dominant and high-production groups in fantasy football a year ago.

As the season continues to get closer to an official kickoff later this calendar year, let’s take a look at a few different storylines when it comes to fantasy football and what you should watch for early on and during the 2020 campaign.
