Packers make another unsexy pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

25. Green Bay Packers: Samuel Cosmi, OT, Texas

Packers fans may be upset that this isn’t a wide receiver but that would be a reach at this spot. Plus, with the uncertain future of David Bakhtiari given that he’s not signed a new contract and the arrival of Rick Wagner, tackle might be a sneaky concern. Samuel Cosmi is a bit undersized but he moves exceptionally well on the edge of the line and could be great for the scheme Matt LaFleur clearly wants to run.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Carlos Basham Jr., EDGE, Wake Forest

Shaq Barrett was a revelation for the Bucs in 2019 and they were right to tag him to see if he can do it once more. Regardless of that, the depth and youth on the defensive line is lacking, which makes Carlos Basham Jr. intriguing. Productive throughout his time at Wake Forest, Basham isn’t the sexiest player but he’s polished and effective when rushing the passer.

27. Dallas Cowboys: Paulson Adebo, CB, Stanford

The departure of Byron Jones this offseason has many people concerned about the Cowboys secondary, even if they nabbed Trevon Diggs right outside the top 50 picks in the 2020 draft. That’s why Paulson Adebo is the pick here. Adebo is adept in man coverage and could’ve been a first-round pick this past year had he not chosen to return for another year at Stanford.

28. New England Patriots: Jay Tufele, IDL, USC

Any mock draft for the Patriots at this point is the highest form of guesswork. The future of Cam Newton in New England is uncertain, meaning they could be in the quarterback market. Oh yeah, they’ve also had near double-digit opt-outs already. For now, they look to bolster the defense further with Jay Tufele, a disruptive interior presence who has plenty of juice up the middle.
