The Seattle Seahawks boast a plethora of risky fantasy football options for 2020.

The Seattle Seahawks produced several fantasy football gems this past season. Russell Wilson finished among the top-five highest scoring quarterbacks for the fourth time in the past six years. Chris Carson earned a top-ten finish among running backs, and two of Seattle’s receivers ranked in the top 30 at their position. However, fantasy production for the team’s best players is far more unpredictable this year.

Between the arrival of new personnel, player development, and injuries, Seattle’s roster looks much different than it did in 2019. Some of the changes could nullify previously productive players, while continued development could raise young prospects to new heights.

Seattle’s training camp may provide some answers to these rapidly spreading storylines.

3. D.K. Metcalf’s next step

Everyone knows Metcalf is one of the most physically impressive players in the NFL. At 6-4, 229 pounds, the Ole Miss product looks like a figure out of some long lost Greek myth. He possesses incredible speed as well. At the combine, Metcalf ran the 40-yard dash in 4.33 seconds. For reference, the 5-11, 188-pound Henry Ruggs led all receivers with a 4.27 time this year.

Metcalf also tied for the lead among receivers in bench reps and finished among the top five in the vertical and broad jumps. Despite this freakish showing and receiving Lance Zierlein‘s highest pre-draft grade by a receiver that year, Metcalf fell to the bottom of the second round.

As a rookie, the Ole Miss product met and possibly exceeded expectations. He finished 2019 with 58 receptions for 900 yards and seven touchdowns. The 22-year-old also tacked on seven receptions for 160 yards and a score during Seattle’s Wild Card Round victory over Philadelphia.

Tyler Lockett led the Seahawks in all three major receiving statistical categories last year. He finished 15th among receivers in standard leagues with 153.2 points while Metcalf finished 30th with 129.1 points. As the elite deep threat enters his second season, fantasy football owners hope he can make a Kenny Golladay-esque impact.
