Dallas Cowboys roster: Wide Receiver (5)

The Cowboys lost Randall Cobb in free agency but they still look better on paper this year thanks to the draft falling the way it did.

Amari Cooper

After adding Amari Cooper in a 2018 trade with the Raiders, the Cowboys offense took a huge step forward. His rapport with Dak Prescott has been fantastic and he’s fresh off the best season of his career. Dallas rewarded Cooper with a five-year deal ahead of this season and there’s no reason not to expect another 1,000-yard-plus season out of him.

Michael Gallup

A third-round pick in 2018. Michael Gallup broke out in 2019 with 1,107 yards on 66 receptions. He did this despite missing two games with a knee injury and had he not missed time he could have been No. 1 on the team in yardage. Look for Gallup to take yet another step forward in 2020 for the Cowboys.

CeeDee Lamb

It was an easy call for the Cowboys as they took Oklahoma receiver CeeDee Lamb at No. 17 overall despite having more pressing needs elsewhere. Lamb is an explosive playmaker who will not only help replace Randall Cobb but could take some of the targets that went to Jason Witten a season ago.

Cedrick Wilson

Dallas will probably go five-deep at receiver and it’s a toss-up following the big three. Here, Cedrick Wilson is predicted to finish fourth on the team and his ability to help on special teams helps him tremendously.

Devin Smith

A feel-good story one season ago, Devin Smith shook off a litany of knee injuries to come back and make a splash early in the season for Dallas. Unfortunately, his fast start ended up leading to very little the rest of the season. Still, he should be the fifth wideout barring an undrafted rookie surprising the Cowboys in camp.
