Jahan Dotson in Round 7 provides wide receiver depth for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys have one of the best wide receiver corps in the NFL thanks to their top three players. Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup are each coming off a 1,000-yard season for Dallas and Cooper was given a five-year contract in the offseason for his performance. Gallup is entering the third season of his career and it feels as though he’s just scratching the surface of his capabilities.

Then there’s CeeDee Lamb, the No. 17 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. An Oklahoma product, Lamb is able to win on all three levels but the real excitement comes with his ability to score from anywhere on the field.

As impressive as those three are, Dallas doesn’t instill a whole lot of confidence after that. Cedric Wilson and Devin Smith are battling for the final spots and if they go five-deep at receiver, they’ll probably be the final two players. However, Wilson is still trying to find his footing in the NFL and Smith has many years of knee injuries that hurt his development — although he’s still someone to root for considering what he has overcome.

With all that being said, the Cowboys use their final pick in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft to add some depth at wide receiver by selecting Jahan Dotson from Penn State. Unlike the rest of the Dallas receiving corps, Dotson comes in under 6-0 at just 5-11 and 184 pounds.

Dotson is a quick receiver who would be good in the slot due to his ability to get in and out of his cuts in a snap. He could increase his stock since he is sure to see more work in 2020 with K.J. Hamler now in the pros, but as of now, he could be a late-round gem.
