New York Jets simple fantasy football guide

Quarterback

Let me preface this by saying that I have very little desire to invest any roster spots on the New York Jets offense. In fact, they’re ranked as my 32nd offense. Avoid this team. I have no faith in an Adam Gase-led team, no faith in the New York Jets as an organization and no faith in Sam Darnold as a franchise quarterback.

Running Back

It’s the Le’Veon Bell show here. The good news is that he will get plenty of touches but it’s such a porous offensive line and such an awful offensive scheme that it will all go to waste.

Don’t get me wrong, if Bell is available in the fourth round of a 12-team draft then I’d take him. He’s a starting, featured running back that is sure to get a ton of volume. But taking him and hoping to draft a league winner will not be the case. This team stinks.

Wide Receiver

They all stink. No way I’m taking Breshad Perriman or Jamison Crowder. I’d rather spend a pick on a handcuff running back. Rookie wide receiver Denzel Mims may be enticing to those of you who play in a dynasty league and he will likely be a starting perimeter receiver this season. But I just don’t see a pathway to fantasy production in this offense.

Tight End

Chris Herndon does come with a unique level of athleticism at the position. In fact, he was talked up quite a bit last year as a breakout guy. But a four-game suspension and subsequent injuries derailed his season.

There’s a possibility that 2020 could be the year he realizes his potential but I wouldn’t bet on it.
