I’m a big proponent of waiting on quarterback in fantasy football drafts and Round 6 might be a little early for my taste. Having said that, with Russell Wilson going the pick before me, I got a little worried that there would be a big drop-off in Round 7 in terms of the tiers of player available. And to be honest, I’m extremely happy with Kyler Murray leading the way at QB.
As a rookie, Murray finished as the QB8 in fantasy football scoring (4-point per passing touchdown). He threw for 3,722 yards, 20 touchdowns and 12 picks with 544 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Now with a reloaded group of offensive weapons and experience, those numbers and production should only start to take off. He has top-five quarterback potential in fantasy.

- Team 5 (7.05) – J.K. Dobbins, RB, BAL
- Team 6 (7.06) – Deshaun Watson, QB, HOU
- Team 7 (7.07) – Matt Ryan, QB, ATL
- Team 8 (7.08) – Aaron Rodgers, QB, GB
- Team 9 (7.09) – Evan Engram, TE, NYG
- Team 10 (7.10) – Tom Brady, QB, TB
- Team 11 (7.11) – Matt Breida, RB, MIA
- Team 12 (7.12) – Diontae Johnson, WR, PIT
Fun fact, I have no idea how I was able to get Michael Gallup in the seventh round of this fantasy football mock draft. Yes, the Cowboys did draft CeeDee Lamb this offseason, which could take targets away from Gallup. Then again, maybe Lamb takes targets vacated by Randall Cobb and Jason Witten, leaving Gallup to build off of a big 2019 season with Dallas.
Gallup finished as WR22 last year in just his second NFL season while playing in only 14 games. He still ended up with 66 receptions (113 targets) for 1,107 yards and six touchdowns. Not only could that touchdown number go up but I believe his target share will stay the same in a more functional offense under new head coach Mike McCarthy. All told, this creates a dynamic receiving group for this fantasy roster.
