There’s some questions that need answers surrounding a few Green Bay Packers players entering 2020 training camp. Who has the most to prove?

The Green Bay Packers finally began practicing for the 2020 season on Aug. 15. Though training camp officially began a few weeks ago, the Packers had not actually engaged in any on-field activities until Saturday.

Even after just a few short hours of practice, there’s already been a ton of hype for several players. Of course, being in the midst of a worldwide pandemic with little interaction between media and players, any sort of football-related content is going to create buzz amongst fans. Whether it’s an incredible sideline catch or judging which players are on the field in specific packages, there’s always time for overreactions during training camp.

By far the biggest storyline on Day 1 of Packers training camp was the announcement that nose tackle Kenny Clark had signed a four-year, $70 million contract extension with the team. Clark’s new deal ties him to Green Bay for the next five seasons, where he’ll be 29 years old. Clark has been a dominant force for the Packers since being drafted in the first round of the 2016 draft. Obviously, the former first-rounder doesn’t have much to prove going forward. The same can’t be said for some of Clark’s teammates.

Plenty of players have a lot to prove heading into 2020, but a few, in particular, have the most to prove. For instance, the receiver position has little depth behind Davante Adams. Allen Lazard appears to be a capable No. 2, but after that the order is up for debate. Marquez Valdes-Scantling could be the team’s No. 3, but he needs to show consistency over the next few weeks.

The Packers don’t have a ton of time to evaluate players. After all, the season opens in less than a month. Players with the most to prove will have less opportunities to make a lasting impression. here are the Packers players with the most to prove in 2020 training camp.
