Kenyan Drake, Arizona Cardinals

Current ADP: 2.06

Kenyan Drake was one of the surprises of the second half of the 2019 NFL season.

The former Alabama star never took flight with the Miami Dolphins, and was dealt to the Arizona Cardinals before the 2019 trade deadline. His new club allowed him to spread his wings, and he soared higher than anyone could have expected.

Injuries allowed him to step into a starring role, and he never looked back. In eight starts for the Cardinals, Drake racked up 814 total offensive yards and eight touchdowns. He was an instant waiver wire priority add, and likely helped hundreds of fantasy owners keep their seasons alive.

That was great and all. Unfortunately, I don’t see the same happening in 2020.

Drake is a talented runner, and figures to play a prominent role for the Arizona offense this season. With that said, I foresee the focus being on the passing game as Kyler Murray heads into his sophomore campaign with players like DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk and Larry Fitzgerald to throw to.

Drake’s breakout felt like a fluke. Only time will tell if it was, but I wouldn’t dare spend a second-round pick on him in order to find out first-hand.
