Le’Veon Bell, New York Jets

Current ADP: 3.07

Look. I know that Le’Veon Bell is desperate for a better second season with the New York Jets. I applaud that, and hope that things work out for one of the NFL’s most naturally gifted backs.

Unfortunately, I don’t think he’s someone you want on your fantasy football team — at least not if it means parting with a third-round pick for him.

There’s just too much going against Bell this season. While he’s more than capable of producing big numbers and giving this Jets offense a boost in 2020, he doesn’t have much help around him. The Gang Green offensive line is among the worst in the NFL. Furthermore, the AFC East’s outstanding secondaries will be flooding the box and daring Sam Darnold to beat them with his arm.

It’s just not a recipe for success.

We all know what Bell is capable of when he’s got some solid blocking and capable playmakers around him. As I’ve already described, though, that’s not the situation he finds himself as we inch closer to the start of the 2020 season. Bell is going to be asked to do a lot, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to find success with this type of supporting cast.

Save yourself the headache and use your pick on someone else.
