2020 NFL Power Rankings: Cowboys defense has hopes high

Denver Broncos move up from 21 to 19
Another team that’s hard to figure out is the Denver Broncos. They finished 4-1 in the final five games of 2019, which coincided with the arrival of Drew Lock to their starting line up. Even with that success, they’re still young and need to figure out how to get it done.
And the early part of their season will be key as mentioned by Jeff Legwold of ESPN, who says they could be as bad as a 5-win team or as good as a 10-win club.
"“Biggest variable: The first month. Sure, Drew Lock is in his first full season as the starting quarterback, and the Broncos have plenty of work to do to set things in the offensive line, but how this season looks overall might hinge on whether Denver does far more in Weeks 1-4 than it did last season. The Broncos started 0-4, scored 16 or fewer points three times in those four games and had zero sacks on defense in the first three games. Several of the Broncos players have already said how important it is for them to find a way to be far more effective in those early days. They feel as if the team showed its potential, even before the upgrades on offense in the draft, with its 4-1 finish over the last five games of 2019.” — Jeff Legwold, ESPN.com"
Denver’s offense has a lot of talent and their defense is led by a stud pass rusher in Von Miller. They could be a team to look out for in the battle for the final wild-card spot in the AFC.
